BELGRAVIA, SW1W

Ark Construction Design recently completed a stunning transformation of a 1,200 square foot apartment within a stucco-fronted Victorian mansion, Belgravia, SW1W.
We carefully stripped back layers of outdated renovations to reveal and restore the apartment's original architectural features. The ornate plasterwork and ceiling medallions were painstakingly repaired and highlighted with a bespoke lighting scheme that combines traditional chandeliers with modern LED accents.
The formerly cramped kitchen was expanded by removing a non-load-bearing wall, creating an open-plan kitchen and dining area. We installed a central island with a honed marble countertop, complemented by handcrafted cabinetry in a soft sage green. Top-of-the-line appliances were seamlessly integrated to maintain the elegant aesthetic.
In the master bathroom, we introduced a touch of opulence with book-matched Calacatta marble, a freestanding copper bathtub, and a spacious walk-in shower. Underfloor heating was installed throughout for added comfort. The second bedroom was cleverly reconfigured into a multifunctional space, with a custom-built Murphy bed and integrated home office setup, allowing it to serve as both a guest room and a study.
We replaced the property's original single-glazed windows with bespoke, double-glazed sash windows that maintain the historic facade while significantly improving thermal and acoustic insulation. A state-of-the-art air conditioning system was discreetly installed to provide year-round climate control.
