Ark Construction Design recently completed a vibrant renovation of a 750 square foot loft apartment in a converted warehouse on Jamestown Road, Camden, NW1.
We exposed and restored the original brick walls and timber beams, adding warmth and texture to the open-plan living area. A mezzanine sleeping area was reinforced and expanded, increasing usable floor space.
The kitchen was updated with sleek, contemporary units and high-quality appliances, complementing the industrial aesthetic. We installed a custom-built kitchen island with a reclaimed wood top, doubling as a dining and work space.
In the bathroom, we combined vintage-inspired fixtures with modern tiling, creating a stylish yet practical space. Energy-efficient lighting was installed throughout, with a mix of exposed bulb pendants and discrete LED strips.
The 10-week project also included upgrading the apartment's insulation and installing new double-glazed windows to improve energy efficiency while maintaining the loft's character. The result is a unique living space that captures Camden's eclectic spirit, blending industrial heritage with contemporary comfort.
